Sucaba Rolls Out Version 2.6 of ClaimLink

Pasadena, CA, May 24, 1997 --Celebrating their 10th Anniversary, Sucaba Company, Inc announced the release of their workers' compensation and liability claims administration system, version 2.6, of ClaimLink.

A host of new features have been added to the workers' compensation system including Full-Time Equivalency Maintenance which permits the entry and maintenance of employee hours and salary data by location and month. Utilizing this and other system data, Full-Time Equivalency reports may be produced to provide accident rates per 200,000 hours worked. This process levels out all accidents to a common denominator, so accidents for large and small organizational units may be directly compared.

Selective Segregation of Legal and Medical Case Notes allows defense attorneys or medical doctors to enter notes into a separate note file providing protection from disclosure. When a Legal or Medical Case Note is entered, the system automatically places a short note in the regular Case Notes file indicating that a legal or medical case note has been entered on that day and by whom it was entered.

On Sucaba's liability system, a series of Synopsis Screens have been added which collect data from throughout the system to provide the user with key case information at a glance. This function is especially helpful for managers and supervisors who need to get an overall sense and the facts of a case quickly. With a single key stroke, the user may request a hardcopy printout of the information as a Synopsis Report.

The liability system has received Indexing Screens, capturing information needed to utilize the services of the Index System (which runs searches to determine if a claimant has prior bodily injury accidents). Information for the Index System may be produced in hardcopy form or sent electronically.

An Evaluation Screen has been added to show pertinent case settlement information. This screen records any "Specials" to date, assessment of liability and the desired strategy for settling a case. The screen carries information about the IME Doctor, the results of the exam as well as information about the diagnosed and residual injuries.

Both ClaimLink systems are available for purchase, lease or with extensive outsourcing and Internet outsourcing alternatives on stand-alone or networked PCs running in Windows, Windows 95, Windows NT, DOS, MAC, OS/2, UNIX or MPE environments.
