RMIS on the Internet

Sucaba Introduces Internet Outsourcing

Pasadena, CA, January 2, 1997 -- In celebrating the company's 10th anniversary, Sucaba Company, Inc announced their latest risk management information system connectivity solution today for their ClaimLink, with the introduction of Internet outsourcing.

With this new form of connectivity, risk managers and third party administrators now have the opportunity to manage their workers' compensation and liability case loads over the Internet, without the capitol investment of an RMIS package.

Utilizing a local Internet Service Provider (ISP), users access the ClaimLink system with their current stand-alone or networked personal computers running in Windows, Windows 95, Windows NT, DOS, MAC, OS/2, UNIX, or MPE environments.

With Sucaba literally becoming an organization's specialized risk management data processing department, the worry of hardware and operating system upgrades (for the RMIS system server) are eliminated. Upgrades of the ClaimLink system are free for the duration of the outsourcing contract and daily connection costs are as low as that of a local phone call. In addition to the extraordinary level of service and customer support which Sucaba provides, this type of connectivity also affords the opportunity for risk managers who are looking to purchase an RMIS system to "try before they buy." And, unlike other
vendors, should an organization decide that Internet outsourcing or the ClaimLink system is not for them, all data will be returned on magnetic media free of charge.

Also, to celebrate our 10th anniversary of providing risk managers and TPAs with the best workers' compensation and liability claims administration software packages available, Sucaba has rolled back the prices of purchasing, leasing and outsourcing both packages to 1987 levels.
